Applications of students with siblings currently attending SUCCESS will automatically be accepted with an application. A student who takes rigorous courses and does well at SUCCESS Academy can increase their scholarship opportunities since our classes are concurrent enrollment. We have had many students admitted into Ivy League schools with large scholarships. The opposite may also be true if a student does not do well while at SUCCESS Academy. Grades earned at SUCCESS are permanent college records.

Financial

There are some fees associated with attending SUCCESS and students must pay all fees within their collegiate courses. However, there is no SUCCESS Academy tuition. As long as a student maintains a 3.0 and above, their tuition fees to attend Southern Utah University (SUU) as a high school student are covered.

While attending SUCCESS Academy and maintaining a 3.0 GPA and higher, all students are receiving a full tuition scholarship to Southern Utah University (SUU) (not all fees are covered). SUCCESS does not offer other exclusive scholarship opportunities. However, scholarships available to all students are regularly advertised and shared by our scholarship coach.

Students that qualify to attend SUU will have their tuition fees waived. However, students enrolled in SUU classes will be required to pay for any class or textbook fees associated with their course. Also, there are student fees that SUU requires that students will need to pay.

Concurrent enrollment provides high school students the opportunity to take college-credit courses taught by college-approved high school teachers. It is a low-cost, scalable model for bringing accelerated courses to students in urban, suburban, and rural high schools. Students gain exposure to the academic challenges of college while in their supportive high school environment, earning transcript college credit at the time they successfully pass the course. Concurrent enrollment also facilitates close collaboration between high school teachers and college faculty that fosters alignment of secondary and post-secondary curriculum. Sometimes called “dual credit”, “dual enrollment”, or “college in the high school”, concurrent enrollment partnerships differ from other models of dual enrollment because high school instructors teach the college courses.

It is also titled SUCCESS for its goal to help students achieve success in their academics, career, and life.

Grades

Students who drop below a 3.0 GPA are put on academic probation and will work with their guardian and their counselor as needed to move forward. This may limit the number of courses students may take or the opportunities they have at our school. In addition, students need to be aware that a collegiate transcript is permanent and cannot be changed. College transcripts will be used in the future for applying to other colleges and used for scholarship opportunities.

SUCCESS is an Early College High School (ECHS) designed to help students prepare for college and earn college credit while they are attending high school. With these two goals, students that have the best experience at SUCCESS are ones that are willing to work hard to learn the material in their classes, can learn to be self-disciplined, and learn to manage their time effectively.
